What’s wrong?

For the last two years, I’ve had a health issue.

Blurred vision and dizziness that vary somewhat from day to day. This year it had become worse. When I went for my standard morning coffee in a cafe, usually 1500 steps away, I’d be in a fog, feeling halfway to drunk. At times I’d wonder if I could even wander home at a casual pace, only to lie on my bed for a few hours.

I bought a blood pressure monitor and found it was low 103/63. That explained my symptoms; I just wasn’t getting enough blood to my head.

It didn’t help, apparently, that I kept striding out in the evenings to crack out my 10,000 steps. In fact, this year it’s gone up to an average of 14,000.

I also have a ridiculously austere Mediterranean diet. No highly processed food, no added salt, no sugar, or anything that contains it. No chips or salted nuts.

But all my blood results were normal. I was healthy, but not feeling it.

In fact, I was feeling terrible.
