Reid Cycles blog
18 months after the completion of my 40,000km bicycle tour, zig zagging across the Australian continent, a major cycle retailer has picked up on the cycletrailsaustralia.com website and published a lengthy blog piece on five of the more accessible routes:
up the Murray River, from Goolwa at the Murray mouth up to Jindabyne in the Snowy Mountains;
the 900km Mawson Trail, heading out from Adelaide up through the Barossa Valley, the Clare Valley, then the Flinders Ranges to the dot of civilisation at Blinman;
the purpose built Munda Biddi, from near Perth to Albany, about 1000km through the hills with Jarrah and Karri big tree forests;
The South Coast of Western Australia;
Kakadu National Park, where there are plenty of highlights.
Seems I’m getting a little nostalgic for those wide open spaces.
